Kuumba is...

On the sixth day of Kwanzaa, we celebrate Kuumba - creativity. This principle calls us to use all of our abilities and resources to leave our community more beautiful than we inherited it. As a family we choose to embody this principle by creating art, crafts and games that make each other and people smile. Other ways to celebrate are: community or neighborhood place and space beautification and community service at food banks or with our elders. Don't compare your efforts to the efforts of others. Instead, as Dr. Karenga puts it,"Do all that you can, in the way that you can"
